Asian Conference: MCI Events

MBA CSEA employes an events planning firm in the APAC region called MCI Events to assist with site selection and hotel management. 

Site Selection

  • Venue search
  • Site inspection
  • Contract negotiation
  • Set-up hotel-related budget items

Hotel Liaison

  • Serve as primary hotel contact/liaison to assist with conference planning. Represent MBA CSEA with the hotel regarding issues that arise.
  • Obtain information from hotel, including:
    • A/V price list
    • Food and beverage menu
    • Shipping information and rates
    • Layout and specifications
    • Signage specifications and digital signage provided, if any
    • Exhibit hall layout
  • Communicate with hotel regarding conference logistics once decisions are made by the committee, including:
    • Food and beverage selection
    • Dietary requirements
    • Room selections
    • Exhibit hall layout
    • A/V requests
    • Other items, as needed
  • Remind the Executive Director of upcoming deadlines for payments or room allocations. Note: The Executive Director must approve all changes that involve the hotel contract or financial obligations
