The MBA CSEA Volunteer Experience

Here's what some of our volunteers have to say about the experience:

Our over 80 volunteers work closely with our staff to manage and execute programs and services for our over members globally. One of the reasons we are able to meet the needs of our diverse membership is through the expertise of our dedicated volunteers who work in the field every day and have their finger on the pulse of the needs of our membership.
Our volunteers enjoy the experience, not only because they are able to give back to the organization, but also because it lets them take their networking to the next level.

Here's what some of our volunteers have to say about the experience:

"Being a volunteer in the MBACSEA is a great way to learn from others and develop relationships with smart colleagues and industry leaders. Volunteering is also key to supporting and creating a long-term legacy for the future generation of leaders in higher education.” Antoine Broustra, Senior Director, Career Development and Corporate Relations, University of California, Davis - Graduate School of Management

"It's nice to work/connect with and learn from colleagues! There's so much knowledge in this space that has helped me!" Tanya Montgomery, Operations Manager-Weston Career Center, Washington University in St. Louis - Olin Business School

“Volunteering with MBA CSEA has provided me the chance to step slightly outside of my comfort zone pursuing opportunities that I might not have thought possible while meeting and connecting with peers that I can now call friends. Being on two committees and being a part of two resource groups has allowed me to expand my own knowledge and skill sets while also knowledge sharing with the community.” Jennifer Applebee, Associate Director, Recruiting and Employer Relations, Rice Business - Jones Graduate School of Business

“The experience volunteering for MBACSEA was an excellent one. I got to meet my counterparts from all around the world and contribute to the collaborative and systematic community with a strong culture knowledge-sharing. I've also made friends in the process.” Jade Galvan, Career Services Director, Asian Institute of Management

Volunteering at the MBA CSEA Conference for the first time was really insightful. I never thought I would engage with so many people and learn about    leading trends in our industry.” Montgomery Thomas, Associate Director for Alumni and Graduate Career Strategy, Suffolk University

“Volunteering on MBA CSEA committees over the past few years has been extremely instrumental in my ability to successfully transition from a career in industry to the higher education graduate career services space. It has allowed me to build rewarding and enriching relationships with talented peers from various parts of the US and the world, and learn from them while working together to positively contribute to our professional community.” Steve Simpson, MBA Director – Marketing & Pricing, University of Rochester - Simon Business School

“I've thoroughly enjoyed being involved with MBA CSEA over the past 12 months. It's been great being able to talk to and support colleagues.” Ryan Sharman, Head of Career Development, Cambridge Judge Business School

“Volunteering with the MBACSEA has allowed me to connect with my peers and school partners who have the same passion as I do about hiring top MBA talent for our companies.  It is energizing to hear from them, work with them on important topics and share those best practices we know are out there and can leverage.” Margo Garcia, Senior Talent Acquisition Business Partner/University Recruiting, Intuit

“My volunteering experience has given me a great network to reach out to of trusted advisors and thinking partners when I encounter challenges at work. It has also helped my own professional development by giving me opportunities to further develop problem solving and teamworking skills and share my thought leadership.” Patricia Keener, London Business School, Head of Early and Mid Careers

"Volunteering with MBA CSEA has been a great opportunity for me to give back to an organization that has helped improve my daily work as a University and MBA Recruiter. I was first introduced to MBA CSEA when I attended their Boston conference in 2019. At that conference, I gained incredible takeaways that I was able to bring back to my company and immediately implement. Not to mention, I've expanded my network of friends and colleagues who I continue to work with to this day. It's an honor for me to be able to give back to this organization and provide value and support to other employers." Nicole Wright, University Recruiting, Gusto
