2020 European Conference Postponement - 9 March, 2020

MBA CSEA has decided to postpone the 2020 MBA CSEA European Conference until further notice. The decision was made in an effort to minimize health risk and exposure to the coronavirus during the event, as well as to host the event at a time when more of our members can participate.

In the last few weeks, our organization's leadership and conference planning committee have been watching the growth of the coronavirus very closely, as well as monitoring information disseminated by government and health organizations including the World Health Organization, European Union and the Spanish Ministry of Health. We reviewed the responses from a survey we sent to our conference participants, noting a growing number of institution-wide travel bans among our member organizations and a large amount of hesitancy about attendance. In addition to that, we have received many cancellations and/or requests to cancel the event in the last few days. In an effort to minimize health risk and exposure during the event, as well as a desire to host the event at a time when more of our members can participate, we made the difficult decision to postpone.

MBA CSEA has created two resources for our members to connect and share information about precautions being taken at their institutions: a WhatsApp group and a discussion in the online community. Members received information about both resources via email. Please contact us for more informaiton.

We apologize for any inconvenience the conference postponement may cause. The health and safety of our members is of the utmost importance to us.  We will be in touch regarding new dates as soon as a decision is made.

As of now, the Global Conference is still proceeding as planned in June.
