Young professionals building a career are likely to experience failures as well as successes. This can be particularly difficult to high achieving MBA/Graduate Business candidates especially when early career progression built on the successes.  Inevitably,  MBA and Specialty Masters candidates and early career professionals will experience rejections in their job hunt and set-backs at work. Recent research into resilience suggests that the ability to bounce back from setbacks and persist with long term goals is a strong predictor of career success.

This session will explore the principles of self compassion, grit and resilience, based on recent research and the application of these principles in coaching students and young professionals to bounce back from rejection. It is intended for career offices and employers alike to help students and young professionals recover from setbacks.

In this session, you will learn a framework for navigating setbacks and building resiliency. We will describe programs, initiatives and coaching techniques designed to support young professionals so they can manage when things go wrong and feel out of control.
