How much of the MBA interview process is based on “gut feel” and pre-existing biases – even though you may have a well-thought out selection framework?  How often do your interviewers (particularly executives) ignore your competency-based selection framework during an interview and just have a “conversation” with an applicant? How many MBA hires have you made who were a good fit for a job, or a particular manager, rather than a fit for your company?

How can MBA candidates better prepare for recognizing bias in their interview process?  Often times they’re asked to share their knowledge and experience, which is only half of the equation. How can you help them articulate what they’re capable of and determine if the organization they’re interviewing with is a culture fit for them?

Selection bias can derail your company’s strategic value, and cause you to miss out on great talent. How can you minimize it?

Join Kim Gaber and Katy Campbell of DDI for a practical talk on eliminating institutional bias in the selection process. Learn about how your systematic, data-driven approach can be sold to your interviewers so that they support your mission to hire the right MBA candidate.  Learn how preparing MBA candidates to thoughtfully evaluate job and culture fit will set them up for success!
