Associate Director of Employer Engagement & Recruiting
The Associate Director of Employer Engagement & Recruiting is responsible for strategic employer and company relationships and engagements provided to all MBA students and all alumni at UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School. The position will work to build new relationships, expand existing relationships, and serve as an ambassador for UNC Kenan-Flagler. The Associate Director will work collaboratively with the EE&R team to lead an optimal, fast-paced, high performing, and innovative Employer Engagement & Recruiting team to maintain and build a comprehensive employer engagement and outreach strategy that aligns with the brand of UNC Kenan-Flagler MBA Programs. This will include but is not limited to, identifying, cultivating, and establishing new relationships with companies and organizations that do not have campus recruiting relationships with UNC, particularly those opportunities for the working professionals. Additionally, the Associate Director will be responsible for expanding relationships with existing corporate partners, to uncover opportunities for all MBA Program students and alumni. This position will assist the team in maintaining oversight of the process, delivery, and outreach for high-quality MBA opportunities for UNC Kenan-Flagler all MBA students and alumni. This position also utilizes contact management software and/or technology to extend employer communications.
The Associate Director will report to the Senior Associate Director of Employer Engagement & Recruiting within the Career & Leadership for MBA & Alumni. This person will work collaboratively with the Employer Engagement & Recruitment team, Career Coaching team, C&L Operation’s team, Leadership team, other degree programs, advancement, business partnerships, faculty, Kenan centers, students and alumni of UNC Kenan-Flagler.

Requirements Bachelor’s degree required master’s degree in business or related field is preferred. All degrees must be from accredited universities

Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of post-undergraduate relevant work experience in business development, recruiting, HR, career services, or related field. Will accept 3 years of post-undergraduate relevant work experience in business development, recruiting, HR, career services, or related field with master’s degree.
Applicants must have demonstrated success in building external client relationships and comfort with cold calls; sales skills and the ability to effectively and enthusiastically represent UNC Kenan-Flagler to targeted organizations; strong interpersonal and listening skills with an ability to communicate with a variety of clients at all levels including executives, alumni and recruiting professionals. Must be able to occasionally work evening and weekend. This position also requires occasional travel.

Preferred qualifications:
Prior experience with MBA program or university recruiting from a higher education or a business perspective; extensive knowledge of the MBA hiring process, industries, functions and hiring practices; knowledge of MBA recruiting systems and technologies; strong leadership skills and management experience; prior experience in market research and analysis; online marketing experience and familiarity with use of social media in a business context a plus, and knowledge of 12Twenty and Salesforce is a plus.
