External Relations Manager

The MBA Career Center of WHU invites applications for the full-time position of External Relations Manager (f/m/d) located at WHU Campus Düsseldorf with a start date as soon as possible.
The Career Center enables successful interactions among companies, WHU students and alumni. By conducting numerous career activities for MBA students, we offer career orientation and an exciting platform for networking with company representatives and alumni. We are dedicated to helping MBA students, from Germany and abroad, discover the appropriate career journey that matches their personal fulfillment and secure a career that enables them to make a positive impact in the world.
Job Description
Identifying, developing, and maintaining relationships with both new and existing companies, WHU alumni, and other external partners to increase networking and recruitment opportunities for our MBA students
Creating strategies and processes for employer outreach to create and sustain employer relationships across Germany, as well as internationally. Ideally, you already have a network relating to a sector and are ready to develop it in order to increase the opportunities for interaction on campus with students
Planning and organizing on- and off-campus recruitment events, alumni talks, company presentations, company visits and career fairs
Managing the design and delivery of communication and marketing materials to students and employers such as employment reports, career center newsletters, job boards, and other publications
Developing and creating marketing and communication ideas such as social media and stakeholder outreach initiatives
Maintaining WHU’s career center website and internal platforms
Developing and maintaining relevant networks to be up-to-date on current recruitment trends, labor market information, legislation, and professional / academic developments

Requirements
Academic degree in communications, marketing, business, psychology, HR or related fields
Several years of work experience within a university or business / industry environment involving recruitment, consulting, HR, headhunting, careers, and / or sales and marketing
Effective written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills in both English and German
High level of flexibility, including willingness to support career events in evenings and on weekends
Experience in using web and social media in the career management and job search process preferred
Display creativity, initiative, and positive attitude in carrying out responsibilities
The ability to be a strong team player, as well as to work independently in a multi-cultural environment
