Associate Director, Graduate Placement and Employer Relations

In Fall 2017, the Price College of Business (PCOB) established the Gene Rainbolt Graduate School of Business (GRGSB) which is housed at a new 27,000 square-foot flagship facility located in the heart of Oklahoma City at OU’s University Research Park on the Health Sciences Center campus. Strategically anchored between the downtown energy and financial sectors to the west and the growing healthcare and aerospace sectors to the east, the facility is now home to OU’s full-time, professional, and online graduate programs and is continuing to grow. 

The Center for Graduate Student Success was formed to provide graduate business students across different masters programs with the necessary support services, professional development programs and initiatives to enhance career success throughout the candidate to student to career lifecycle. Reporting to the Senior Director of CGSS, the Associate Director of Placement & Employer Relations will be an integral part of the Center for Graduate Student Success. This position will also work closely and coordinate with the Director of Placement in the PCOB Center for Student Success. 

The Associate Director of Placement & Employer Relations will be responsible for cultivating and expanding company relationships, developing branding and recruiting strategies to help firms source talent, and hosting programs and events to ensure the success of career placement efforts for graduate programs including the Full Time MBA, Professional MBA, MS-MIT, and our online graduate degree programs, including the MS in Finance, MS in Business Analytics and MS in Supply Chain Management.   

This position can be a hybrid position, if desired, and located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. 

Duties and Responsibilities will include:

  • Develop strong relationships with potential employers in strategic industries and aspirational employers across all industries, especially those outside the geographical and legacy areas and promote employment-related services to these constituencies
  • Strengthen and deepen existing relationships with employers, both in Oklahoma and nationally
  • Work with program leadership to research, develop, and implement a comprehensive employer engagement plan
  • Develop and distribute marketing materials, such as resume books and online resources, to promote the unique value proposition of the GRGSB graduate programs and its students and increase awareness of these programs among employers and aspirational employers
  • Assist with GRGSB's placement efforts to ensure that students, especially where a legacy of employer relations is limited, have paid internships during their program of study and are employed upon graduation
  • Plan and implement on-campus and virtual recruiting events, including company information sessions
  • Work cross-functionally with key departments in PCOB and OU, such as CSS and OU Career Services, to ensure coordination of efforts
  • Work with program directors of the Online MS in Business Analytics, MS in Finance and MS in Supply Chain Management
  • Manage GradLeaders (an online job posting system for MBA programs) and explore ways to better leverage its capabilities for placing students and engaging with employers and recruiters
  • Work with the Director of MBA Recruitment and directors of the online specialty masters programs to coordinate efforts in outreach to employers
  • Prepare regular reports, assist with rankings data collection efforts, and analyze data relevant to the career placement of students and alumni
  • Other related duties as assigned

Requirements

Required Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education/job-related experience, AND:

  • 18-36 months experience in recruitment, relationship building, advancement, marketing, or related field
