Career Strategist, Asset Management
1. Develop and manage strategies to best serve Asset Management students, creatively engaging alumni and industry contacts, leveraging industry speakers on campus, creating recruiting events, and connecting students with both school year internship and post-graduation opportunities.
2. Conceptualize, innovate/develop, and deliver/co-deliver career management programming specifically targeted to Asset Management students. Evaluate and implement a variety of delivery mechanisms including workshops, panel discussions, large scale conferences, and virtual/on-line training programs. Assist in program design for the larger student body, as needed.
3. Coach domestic and international students on appropriate career management and job search skills in one-on-one, small, and large group settings, providing guidance and feedback, particularly related to asset management recruiting.
4. Collaborate, coordinate, and partner with the Asset Management team, alumni and student groups, and broader CDO to identify new organizations to generate job opportunities for Yale SOM students, both domestically and internationally.
5. Solicit, evaluate, track, and analyze data, using surveys and other tools/approaches, related to programming and student success. Lead strategic conversations with the CDO team, Asset Management team, student groups, and/or other Yale staff to determine program offerings and innovations.
6. Market, manage, disseminate, and document career management messages/communications internally and externally that pertain to programming, initiatives, or student needs. Responsibilities may include creating integrated marketing messages to building brand awareness for various programs, coordinating volunteer participation, or managing routine student communications.
7. Maintain current notes on all employers and students in centralized team database.
8. Represent Yale SOM and the university to employers.
9. Other duties as assigned or in response to changes in hiring and career trends, and changes within the university.
