The Director of Full-Time MBA & Dual Degree Admissions manages the admissions, recruitment, enrollment and financial awards functions for the Terry College of Business Full-Time MBA Program. The Director also collaborates with the Office of Marketing and Communications to determine and design the marketing strategy for the Full-Time MBA and Dual Degree programs. The purpose of the position is to develop long-term strategic plans and to oversee the successful implementation of all efforts related to admissions and enrollment of the College’s Full-Time MBA, Pathway MBA, and Dual Degree MBA programs. The director provides forecasts, analyses, strategic options, advice, and recommendations regarding admissions strategy and enrollment planning. Position involves periodic travel and both night and weekend hours as needed to fulfill position responsibilities.
Within the Full-Time MBA Admissions office, the Director has direct management responsibility for administration, budgeting, personnel, and marketing strategy. The Director works closely with the Office of Marketing and Communications on media and publications, public relations, and marketing strategy, and with the Terry Office of Information Technology on software systems management and data transfers. They will meet regularly with the Program Director, staff, students, and other Terry College constituents in developing strategies for these areas.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and/or Competencies
  • Knowledge of evaluation methodologies and industry best practices, including international credential assessment and validation, standardized testing, behavioral interviewing, FERPA regulations, merit award structuring, financial aid systems, and student immigration policies.
  • Proficiency in application software systems, as well as comprehensive skill in data analysis procedures and software systems management necessary for developing effective data management and evaluation systems.
  • Able to utilize technology to work both off-site and paperless.
  • Strong background in educational marketing, including viewbook and brochure creation, search service buys, MBA forums, online campaigns, e-mail and text sequences, and social media.
  • Current understanding of academic business programs, corporate industry trends, and career options by discipline sufficient to evaluate placement potential of candidates.
  • Knowledge of fiscal management policies and practices in a university setting.
  • Demonstrated commitment to outstanding customer service and professionalism.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, public relations, and written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse groups in a busy environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Develops, interprets, and administers recruitment, admissions and enrollment strategies, as well as the merit aid opportunities supporting the Full-time MBA, Pathway MBA and Dual Degree MBA programs.
  • Oversees admissions operational processes and procedures, including software systems management, ensuring compliance with all university policies.
  • Develops overall merit aid strategy and actively awards all graduate assistantships, scholarships, and out-of-state fee waivers. Reports on financial awards to the administration to ensure budget compliance. Facilitates donor relations, participating in development activities as needed.
  • Designs and delivers presentations about the program and represents the programs at admissions events and recruitment opportunities, including but not limited to MBA forums, graduate fairs, informational panels, and webinars. Overnight travel and non-standard work hours may be needed.
  • Evaluates and selects students, including reading/reviewing applications for admission, interviewing candidates, providing an assessment of each applicant, making final admissions decisions, and determining the composition of the class.
  • Analyzes and reports on admissions statistics throughout the admissions cycle and in annual reports to the Program Director and administration. Will provide accurate data required to participate in critical national and international rankings surveys.
  • Supervises, trains, and evaluates direct reports including full time staff, graduate students and student workers. Provides direction to the Fulltime MBA Admissions team to achieve department goals.
  • Coaches graduate assistants to accomplish project goals.
  • Coordinates the Student Ambassador Program.
  • Partners with the Office of Marketing and Communication on all digital marketing initiatives related to the programs by providing input on strategy, reviewing creative designs, assisting in copy development (both print and web), and approving media buys.
  • Manages the development and delivery of all non-digital content, including print materials, and media assets. Develops and manages all email communications plans through the admissions CRM system.
  • Consults with the Terry Office of Information Technology and the Graduate School’s Admissions Office to insure efficient and accurate data sharing in university software systems.
  • Make sensitive data management decisions.
  • Implement new product offerings.
  • Maintain accurate electronic records.
  • Update the online MBA application platform.
  • Effectively utilize the customer relationship management system.
  • Develops and implements budgets for managed functions.
  • Manages the operating budget and work closely with the Business Office and the Director of the Full-Time MBA program to ensure compliance with all university fiscal guidelines.
  • Coordinates with the MBA operations, student services, and career management staff to facilitate the prospective to enrolled student transition.
  • Manages the planning and execution of orientation.
  • Provides MBA departments with incoming student data needed to move forward with academic, student service, and career management programming.
  • Collaborates with Executive and Professional Professional MBA Programs to share leads, ideas, and best practices, plan and execute joint recruiting events, and develop a unified marketing strategy.
  • Represents the Executive and Professional MBA Programs at recruiting events as needed.
