Assistant Director, MBA Career Management
The Wisconsin School of Business (WSB) seeks an outcome-oriented Assistant Director, MBA Career Management to join our growing team! In this role, you will work with MBA (5-7 years of experience) and Masters (0-3 years of experience) students in the areas of marketing, technology and supply chain. Our MBA and Masters students hail from across the globe and join our programs with diverse and interesting work and life experience-including veterans and underrepresented minority students. Their shared goals for attending our programs are career enhancement-either changing careers completely ('career switcher') or advancing in their current industry or functional role. This position supports our student's career progression, through delivering workshops and programs, one-to-one coaching, partnering with WSB Knowledge Centers, engaging WSB alumni, and more! If you are detail-oriented, enjoy varied work activities throughout the day, like working with different groups of people, and want to take ownership of specific projects while also working within a close-knit team, this job is for you!

Requirements Coordinates and delivers career development programming, resource materials, and/or advising to students and alumni. Educates students, alumni, and other stakeholders about career development and opportunities and maintains relationships to aid in effective career planning. Supervises unit staff and/or has significant program management authority/responsibility, and strives to create a welcoming, equitable, and inclusive work environment.
  • 45% Educates or advises students and recent alumni individually, or in groups through various mediums about career exploration, self-assessment, skills, materials development, and career decisions
  • 25% Develops and delivers career development programming and resource materials across various mediums to provide education to students
  • 15% Responds to questions and provides information regarding student services, policies, procedures, and employment preparation
  • 5% May identify and maintain a professional network of employers or other stakeholders to facilitate career exploration and employment opportunities for students
  • 5% Participates in campus-wide career services community providing input to leadership regarding the development of advising, recruitment, and co/curricular programs offered by the school/college/unit
  • 5% Supervises unit staff and/or plans, organizes, allocates resources, assesses performance, and leads the operational activities for a significant portion of the unit's career services portfolio
